This café is another investment by Lavender cottage. The hillside coffee shop surrounded by Lavender. The famous place in Taichung owned by two herbal lover ladies who got tired of city life bought a hill in the middle of nowhere and started growing lavender. Later on, they started to sell lavender products and this place became a tourist love.

Gooddays coffee shop was established by those ladies after the huge earthquake occurred in Taichung.
The ladies wanted to increase the business here by collaborating with farmers. Even though Gooddays don’t grow any herbs, the main idea stays the same. A concept of relaxing and cozy place offering an organic food and local products.
The shop in Jiaxian was open in 2009 after Typhoon Morakot hit this area. Besides owning this restaurant, people from Gooddays have established contacts in the village with local people. They try to help the kids in elementary school by holding free classes such as craft or cookie making classes and much more.

In the back of the shop is a room mainly meant for kids with the shelf of books and another special one. This shelf keeps several toys, some books and other children stuff donated by travelers as rewards for children in case they achieve a good result in reading, writing, music, sports, art, polite manners. Per each category is one point. When a child reaches 6 points, he can come in and pick something that he desires.
Inside the restaurant, you can see a bunch of pictures from favorite sports activity - the tug of war as well as some different moments which Jaixian residents are proud of hanging on the wall. Since they were famous in Taiwan, their purpose was to help the local business here and decoy fans of Gooddays around the whole country to come to Jiaxian.

Unlikely to many others restaurants in Taiwan, Good days/ Hau Hau‘s style of interior and also the food is presented beautifully in European style. Little bowls accompanied with cute utensils, making it a very different experience from eating Taiwanese breakfast from a street stall and well worth a try! From the very moment you come to the restaurant until you leave it, the patience and care of the staff members are warmly felt in the space. Among all those things, the shop holds an exhibition of local farm products too. In Taichung, there is a wide range of exhibiting products while in Jiaxian there is a little less, but one can still choose from organic food, ingredients, and beverages through craft handmade ware to organic cosmetic products.
The typical are soaps with peeling sponge inside.

The restaurant occupies two floors of the building. The third one served as Bed and Breakfast apartment. As well as the whole shop, the Western type of wooden interior and Japanese style of beds make the place relaxing and pleasant to stay over nights.
